Our Programme at a Glance
The Ambassador Programme gives women the opportunity to share their stories, represent our organisation & cause publicly, and help inspire the next generation of women entering construction.
Ambassadors participate in events such as school taster days, industry forums, roundtables, and webinars — acting as real-world role models who challenge stereotypes and showcase what’s possible. In doing so, they build leadership and public speaking skills, expand their professional networks, and contribute directly to the mission of gender equity in construction.
This is more than advocacy—it’s a chance to have a visible voice in our work and make a lasting impact.

What Is An Ambassador?
Ambassadors are the visible faces of Construction for Women, helping to champion our mission and inspire change across the industry. They share their personal journeys, highlight the opportunities construction has to offer, and represent CFW at events ranging from school taster days to industry conferences.
By acting as role models, ambassadors challenge outdated stereotypes and demonstrate that women belong in every area of construction — from trades and technical roles to leadership positions.
Becoming an ambassador means being part of a growing community of advocates who are passionate about empowering others, raising awareness, and helping to build a more inclusive future for the industry.

What Makes a Good Ambassador
A good ambassador is passionate about inspiring others and driving change. They don’t need to be expert speakers — just confident storytellers who motivate others to explore what’s possible.
Key qualities include:
-
Passion for promoting construction as a career for women
-
Willingness to share personal experiences openly and authentically
-
Confidence in representing CFW at events or online
-
Respect, empathy, and professionalism when engaging with audiences
-
Commitment to helping break down barriers and inspire others

The Benefits of Being an Ambassador
Becoming an ambassador isn’t just about advocacy — it’s also about personal and professional growth. As an ambassador, you’ll:
-
Develop leadership, communication, and public speaking skills
-
Gain recognition as a visible role model in the sector
-
Expand your professional network through events and collaborations
-
Contribute to meaningful change by inspiring the next generation
-
Strengthen your own confidence while empowering others
Ambassadors make a real difference — both in their own careers and in shaping a more inclusive future for construction.
